Cape Cod Maritime Museum announces Ocean to Cocktail Table Celebration 2016!

November 27, 2016

cape-cod-maritime-museumThe Cape Cod Maritime Museum is pleased to announce the third annual 2016 Ocean to Cocktail Table celebration at the Museum on Thursday December 8, 2016 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm, featuring locally sourced fish and vegetables prepared by “Treats at the Dennis Inn” and is sponsored by Cape Air.

The celebration highlights locally harvested and prepared hot seafood hors d’oeuvres from lobster, scallops, oysters, clams, tuna, and includes wine as well as the Museum’s signature “Spiced Island Rum Punch”.   A cash oyster raw bar will also be available.

While at the museum, guests will tour the two exhibits: Catboats to “Clipper Ships: Boatbuilding on Cape Cod”, and the million dollar Maritime Fine Art exhibit “The Lure and Lore of Marine Art”.  See Cape Cod’s largest scrimshaw collection  as well as the Cook Boat Shop where Truro Central School 6th graders and HYCC afterschool program have been building boats this fall.

There will be a silent auction in support of the Museum’s STEM Gains STEAM maritime themed classes for local elementary and middle school students.

The evening event is open to the public, and reserve tickets may be purchased on our website, by telephone, or at the door the evening of the event.

There are a limited number of tickets available at $35 for hot appetizers, wine and rum.
