Cape Cod Maritime Museum is happy to announce a first time partnership with the 11th annual Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod, taking place on February 3rd – 5th at the Cape Cod Resort and Conference Center, at the West End Rotary in Hyannis. With each ticket purchased at the show, visitors will receive a free admission to the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. Tickets can be used during the Boatbuilder’s Show weekend, or at any time during the 2017 season. Visitors can also purchase the joint ticket at the Museum, and simultaneously receive an admission ticket into the Show.
The Museum will be open Friday, February 3rd from 2:00pm – 7:00pm, Saturday, February 4th from 10:00am – 6:00pm, and Sunday, February 6th from 10:00am – 4:00pm, for any visitors wanting to visit the Museum that weekend. This will be the last chance to see the private $1M collection “The Lure and Lore of Marine Art”, in the Museum art gallery. The show emphasizes marine art from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod has a large selection of unique, custom and non-production boats in both wood and fiberglass. Boaters looking for something other than off-the-rack, production boats will discover more than 40 exhibitors and a large variety of custom-built sail and powerboats on display.
Chris Galazzi, Cape Cod Maritime Museum Executive Director states, “this is a natural partnership between two organizations celebrating Cape Cod boatbuilding. The Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod is an annual event bringing together boat builders and those who admire the work of the builders. Including admission to the Museum in the ticket price is another way to protect, preserve and promote our collective maritime history, defining us as more than just another sandy New England seaside town.”
