Socks are a basic yet essential item that many of us take for granted as we get dressed each day. Although it doesn’t often occur to us, clean socks can reduce the risk of skin infections, prevent frostbite, and foster good hygiene. For Duffy patients, a new pair of socks can make a significant difference in their health and well-being, not to mention the uplifting effect that a fresh new clothing item can provide! A donation of socks, such a humble act, can be a powerful way to show kindness to someone going through the most difficult time of their life.
Donations of white cotton socks will be collected at the reception desk in the lobby of Duffy Health Center, 94 Main Street, Hyannis, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm February 10 through March 10.
