Do you have an old Linux or Windows laptop that you don’t use anymore?
Donate it to “Laptops for Kidz,” a project of the Masonic Angel Foundation, Inc. and make computers accessible to more children in our community!
A home computer is an essential learning tool for today’s children. Children who do not have access to a computer outside of school hours suffer more of a disadvantage as they attempt to progress through the grade levels.
Your Hyannis Public Library is pleased to be the intake location for your donation of the laptop and its AC adapter. Your gift will be refurbished by project volunteers and then distributed local school partners for placement with a child in need.
“Laptops for Kidz” accepts only Windows or Linux-based laptops. Battery life is not an issue, nor is the level of the operating system. Any functioning laptop from a Pentium II on is acceptable. A 501 (c) (3) substantiation letter will be issued to the donor.
Drop off your laptop at the Hyannis Public Library, 401 Main Street, Hyannis during regular open hours, and we’ll get it to “Laptops for Kidz” for you.
