Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce, along with five partners, will present the 3rd Annual Tour de Barnstable, a Town of Barnstable-wide cycling event evocative of traditional European Grand Fondos. The Tour de Barnstable on Sunday, May 7 will comprise a scenic 38-mile course through all seven of the villages of the Town of Barnstable. The event will benefit Barnstable Land Trust and Greater Hyannis Chamber and is a collaboration between those entities and Sea Sports Cyclery & Outdoor, Cape Cod Maritime Museum, Mass Bike-Cape Cod and Cape Cod Cycling Club.
The 38-mile Tour de Barnstable will start at 8:30AM May 7, 2017 from South and Ocean Streets in Hyannis and navigate through Barnstable Village, West Barnstable, Marstons Mills, Cotuit, Osterville, and Centerville before closing the loop at the starting point. The Tour de Barnstable, a ten-mile course option through the village of Hyannis, will start May 7 at 9AM and is designed for a cyclist who prefers a shorter course. For youngsters there will be youth rides, as well.
Registration fees for the Tour de Barnstable will be $65 and the Tour de Barnstable will be $50 with a $5 discount ($60 and $45 respectively) for entrants signing up before May 5.
