The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) continues their roadway improvements for the “Route 28 Intersection Improvements at Bearse’s Way” as scheduled. The next phase of work will begin Monday, November 20, 2017 and end Friday, December 1, 2017 for the utility crossing in Route 28
Starting Monday November 20, 2017, the eastbound lane of Route 28 will be detoured at the intersection of Route 28 and Bearse’s Way. Traffic will be directed south on Bearse’s Way, then directed northeast up Walton Avenue. The end of the detour will occur as traffic migrates back to Route 28. Traffic to local businesses will be allowed access. This detour will continue through Friday, December 1st. No construction work will occur after 12:00PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 through Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Traffic during construction operations will be delayed and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the construction work.
The work hours will be between the hours of 6:30AM and 5:00 PM.
