Cape Abilities, a non-profit organization well-known for providing quality services for individuals with disabilities across Cape Cod, welcomes Jennifer Petersen as its new Associate Executive Director of Program Operations, effective immediately.
Ms. Petersen comes to Cape Abilities from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, where she recently served as the Regional Quality Enhancement Director for the Southeast Region. She brings a rich background of 29 years of experience in both private and public sectors in which she was involved with the support of adults with intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities.
“We are so fortunate that we have someone with Jennifer’s expertise joining our team”, notes Cape Abilities President and Executive Director Rosalie Edes. ” She shares our values and goals for high quality programs that are responsive to the expanding and changing needs of individuals with disabilities across Cape Cod, and I look forward to our work together.”
Ms. Petersen’s noted experience in program and policy development and Quality Assurance system design and implementation, along with her firm commitment to promoting high quality, community-based services for the individuals we serve, will be a significant asset to the Cape Abilities management team.
“In the short time that I have been a member of the Cape Abilities team, I have had the opportunity to experience through both the people served and those providing services, an overall sense of pride in being affiliated with this organization,” said Petersen about her new position. “It is exciting that I too am now part of this team and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.”
