This fall the Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be offering several new Ladies Craft Nights. On October 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. come make a maritime themed wreath with your friends, old and new. Maritime simply means it relates to the sea, so boats, whales, pirates, mermaids, lighthouses and more can all be used.
Cost of this casual, do-it-yourself workshop is $40 and covers materials, tools and instruction.
Choose from found and recycled materials to make a unique decorative wreath celebrating fall on Cape Cod. Feel free to bring maritime related ornaments and additions of your own. Class will be led by artist and CCMM Education Director, Mary Richmond. Simple snacks and soft drinks will be provided. Wine is welcome but you must bring your own.
Future events will be held on November 14 and December 12. November’s craft will be creating with rope, string and knots. December’s craft will be making a maritime themed holiday centerpiece or decoration. All profits benefit our STEAM related education programs in local schools and field trips.
Pre-registration is required. Call 508-775-1723 to register or go to www.capecodmaritimemuseum.org/education
